Bump Testing a Four-Gas Detector in Under Two Minutes

A short demonstration of manual and docking station bump testing, including common mistakes.

Published 15 April 2026 · 8 min watch

This demonstration walks through a manual bump test using a certified reference gas cylinder and fixed flow regulator, then repeats the process using an automated docking station.

The most frequent errors we see are insufficient gas application time, expired cylinders and no record of the result. All three are eliminated by docking station automation, which also maintains the exposure and calibration history required during audits.
